Being on the SHO list is usually not a good thing. However in rare instances like ATER where the current price is a lot higher then where the FTDs were created in is tremendously beneficial. For example MULN will turn into a low volume take down and end up going back to a dollar because it is being manipulated hard to get people to sell. The current price lies below where most of the FTDs were created.
