Didn't the Rop and Bhatti plaintiffs also ask for a complete write down of the SPS since they have been completely paid off? It seems you are ignoring the substance of text of the Trump Letter which stated that the FHFA is trying to" steal the retirement savings of hardworking Americans.."

They can wish for a write down in one hand and crap in the other but I know which one will fill up first.

You don't seem to understand the concept of paying dividends -vs- eliminating/calling preferred shares.

Just because the government has received more in dividends than their preferreds cost, that doesn't mean the preferreds are "paid off".

They have not been paid down, nor paid off.. But they will be, at commons' expense.
