Outside of flippers, There are articles on this phenomenon. It’s called preventing the run for a few reasons. 1) they are working together to push the price down. To get more shares at a cheaper price. Or 2) they are short and want it lower to cover. The later is typical when the volume is lower. If you are short term here, it might be frustrating, but long term the company continues to deliver. Imo

Selling into the bid only helps them achieve their goal. Imo
