Cardano (ADA), the Republic

Legend has it that at the end of the constitutional convention in 1787, Benjamin Franklin was asked what kind of government had been created & he responded "a republic, if you can keep it." This would not be a direct democracy where the "tyranny of the majority" might be imposed on the rest of the electorate. Instead it would be a representative democracy designed to cool the passions of the mob & guarantee certain rights that couldn't be repealed by a majority vote. It looks like Cardano's been taking notes & is also trying to guarantee an equal playing field for all of us.
