Do You Want to Go to Heaven?

In today’s social environment everybody gets to go to heaven when they die. Even our beloved pets and animals get to go to heaven when they die. What a beautiful picturesque has Satan woven for today’s mankind – right?

Unfortunately, this belief is wrong. Only those that have accepted Jesus Christ as God’s only method of salvation can claim heaven (paradise) as their eternal home – all others will be cast into the lake of fire and absence of God for all eternity (see The Final Judgement).

“Jesus told them, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” ~ John 14:6

Many claim to have “accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior” – however, only those that have a “changed lifestyle” and demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit in and through their lives can legitimately claim the right to be called “Children of God”.

In order to live a Christ-centered lifestyle, we must understand the heart of God, and what His desire for us is – and the way to understand and develop/strengthen our relationship with God is to understand and walk in complete obedience to His Word.

“For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” ~ Hebrews 4:12

“All Scripture [Old and New Testament] is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” ~ 2 Timothy 3:16-17

We must be in God’s Word daily in order to understand Him and to further our goal to be more like Him in all of our thoughts, words, actions and deeds. There are many Bible reading plans available that will help us in our ability to study and understand the Word. Likewise, there are many Ministers and Evangelists that present the Word on a daily basis through audio and video links/streams – and, of course, in person. Beware though – because not all of these messengers are messengers of the Light; many are messengers of darkness.

How can we determine if a messenger is of God, or of Satan?

By comparing what they are teaching against the Word of God (Bible). If you do not believe that the whole Bible (Old and New Testaments) is the holy inspired Word of God, then you don’t really have a chance to be called the “Children of God”, until you allow the Holy Spirit to reshape your heart, mind and soul.

If what you are being taught or believe does not align with the Bible (Word of God), then you are being deceived by the “evil one”.

The Word of God is our judge, and we are proven to be either “saved” or “condemned” by our actions. We must be obedient to the Lord's instructions found in the Bible. If your lifestyle doesn't align with those instructions, then you have elected hell as your "final destination". God doesn’t send anyone to heaven or hell – we are responsible for our eternal destiny. God desires for all of us to be saved and live eternally with Him.

“The Lord does not delay His promise, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance.” ~ 2 Peter 3:9
