Thanks for the thoughtful response. I think Jim Cramer also pushes that 'sell half when a ticker doubles' strategy but then he only deals with big name stocks that are far less volatile. In OTC land, I've been burned so many times following that rule when certain stocks went up a few hundred % in a day or two. However, those days seem to be over since the SEC rule changes last fall so maybe it's time to enter a sell order for half the shares of each stock, at double the share price, immediately after buying it. Easy to say but not as easy to do but I plan to do it more often.
