If it was bought on the bid side it will list as a sell. I keep bids out all the time and when they hit it always lists as a sell. If you hit the ask it will list on the buy side. It's kind of useless either way because someone is always buying and someone is always selling on every trade...It just accounts for the amount of ask hitting or bid buying/selling.
