Well the more accurate statement is they hit a centralized DAO account holding the capital for the game. They didn’t directly get the money out of the players but the company. So, the question comes in on is a centralized DAO account with a pile a money tempting hackers a solid foundation for capital management… seems like the answer is obvious.
