EnWave expands footprint with commercial license in Japan and U.S. biopharmaceutical agreement

EnWave Corporation CEO Brent Charleton joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce the company has signed a commercial license agreement with Hokkai Yamato Foods Japan, a leading producer of processed foods such as soups, furikake, and ochazuke. As part of the agreement, Hokkai Yamato has acquired a 10kW Radiant Energy Vacuum (REV™) machine to drive product development and support early-stage commercial production in Japan. This license grants Hokkai Yamato exclusive rights to use EnWave’s patented REV™ technology for the production of various food products within Japan. In return, Hokkai Yamato will pay royalties to EnWave, consistent with existing licensing agreements. EnWave will work closely with Hokkai Yamato to optimize product development and ensure long-term commercial success. In addition to expanding its presence in the Japanese food sector, EnWave has also signed a master service agreement with BioTechnique, a U.S.-based pharmaceutical contract manufacturer. This agreement lays the groundwork for BioTechnique to evaluate EnWave’s REV™ dehydration technology as a potential alternative to freeze-drying in biopharmaceutical applications. As part of the collaboration, BioTechnique will conduct paid testing of several liquid pharmaceutical products, drying them in vials using pilot-scale REV™ machinery at EnWave’s Innovation Center in Delta, British Columbia. atai CEO outlines strategic focus for 2025 including four major data readouts

atai Life Sciences (NASDAQ:ATAI, ETR:9VC) CEO and co-founder Dr Srinivas Rao talked with Proactive about the company's upcoming clinical milestones and strategic focus in 2025. Rao outlined four major clinical readouts across atai’s pipeline of short-duration psychedelics, including updates on VLS-01, BPL-003, RL-007 and EMP-01. The company has dosed its first patient in the VLS-01 trial for treatment-resistant depression, a study that includes an innovative two-dose approach. Rao noted, “This will be the first data set that's going to come out that really addresses the question of what is the incremental benefit of a re-dose?” The trial is expected to read out in Q1 of next year. The BPL-003 trial has completed enrolment and is expected to report results mid-year, alongside RL-007, which targets cognitive impairment associated with schizophrenia. EMP-01, which focuses on social anxiety disorder, is also underway with data expected around the same time as VLS-01. Rao also highlighted that atai recently raised additional capital, extending its funding runway into 2027. Newmark Security CEO on growth drivers, expanding D2E model globally

Newmark Security PLC CEO Marie-Claire Dwek talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company’s latest trading update, which highlighted stronger revenue performance in the second half of the financial year. Dwek said the growth was primarily driven by the Human Capital Management (HCM) division, especially in North America, where both hardware and service-related sales have increased. CleanSpace eyes 30% growth, EBITDA breakeven

CleanSpace Holdings Ltd CEO Gabrielle O’Carroll talked with Proactive about AIM's Small and Midcap Conference about the company’s growth trajectory and product innovation in powered air purifying respirators (PAPRs). CleanSpace was founded in 2009, based on an innovation developed during the SARS epidemic. The company's differentiator is its lightweight, head-mounted respirators that contrast with the bulkier waist-mounted models commonly available in the industrial market. “We are steadily approaching that breakeven EBITDA, profitable EBITDA position, which is our goal,” O’Carroll said. O’Carroll explained that CleanSpace's respirators are well suited for industrial sectors like mining, infrastructure, and petrochemicals. The products are marketed in key regions including the United States, Western Europe, and Australia. The company has 52 employees and recorded AU$9.2 million in revenue in the first half, up 26% year-over-year. CleanSpace is targeting annual revenue growth of 25–30% and expects to achieve positive EBITDA soon. To drive this, the company is focused on raising brand awareness, engaging directly with end users, and supporting occupational hygienists and safety managers.
