This, of course, is an outright lie:

"As previously released, Brilacidin showed promising treatment effects in a Phase 2 clinical trial in moderate-to-severe hospitalized cases of COVID-19 (see NCT04784897)."

In reality, brilacidin showed no efficacy whatsoever in the study - it failed against the primary endpoint - and even extensive post hoc data dredging didn't show anything significant other than the triumph of hope over experience.
