Who would have thought, that you could buy a once 100.oo/share company sub dollar level, while there is nothing wrong with it, aside of the regional conflict in Russia.

Go and spend some time on their website. Full disclosure company: from recent news, to past deals, to debt and all.. unlike some others who trash them out, without knowing anything about them.
https://www.veon.com/media/media-releases/

1) Re-branding, and moving exchanges from NYSE to Nasdaq along with Ticker symbol transition from VIP to VEON cost them an arm and a leg
They got lost in transition, under the radar and undervalued by huge margins.
Quoting an Official PR from that period:

" Amsterdam (3 April 2017) – VEON Ltd. VEON (formerly known as VimpelCom) first listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1996, and now trades on the NASDAQ Global Select Market since 2013.
Shares of VEON are expected to start trading in Amsterdam tomorrow at 0900 CET under the symbol VEON.
Rebrand and Company repositioning.
The Company’s intention to change its name to VEON was announced at Mobile World Congress on 27 February 2017 as part of the Company’s repositioning from a mobile telecom operator to global tech player. "

2)

"In 2007 as a whole, Vimpelcom's total revenues rose by 47.3 percent to $7.17 billion, while OIBDA amounted to $3.6 billion."

stated a SA article while they were traded on NYSE as VIP ticker symbol, at about usd 30.oo/share

3) Telenor Norway had a huge stake in Veon at some point in time.
Their exit strategy and time dragging selling techniques put a lot of pressure on the price.

In 2019 they finally exited, and everyone was cheering.
Since then they had to face Covid related Small Cap market downtrend and as a final trial this "special operation in Russia".

4) Aside from the recent 970 mils deal, they are looking to leverage their 50,000 tower asset network with a combination of sales, leases or other build to suit agreement into 2022.

One big Pending Deal, with Algerian National Investment Fund (FNI ) announced and awaiting 3rd party review and fair valuation;Neither Djezzy, nor Veon, nor Fonds National d’Investissement (FNI), Algeria’s National Investment Fund, have stated the price being paid for the stake.FNI has owned a controlling stake in Djezzy’s holding company, Omnium Telecom Algérie, since 2015, when it paid US$2.643 billion for 51%

4Facts, all true.
Veon is beyond undervalued and is a steal at these uncomprehending prices.

Same company different symbols and time frames.. Unreal steal today
Please share this info, some have no idea, is a safe and sounf investment and not a BK'ed company judging the current prices..

VEON investors are as used to bumpy rides as amusement park addicts. But the emerging-markets player has found some form under CEO Kaan Terzioglu, who previously led Turkcell. For its most recent quarter, it managed a double-digit percentage rise in sales, while its underlying profitability was up 9%. It is now forecasting the sort of growth that most operators in developed markets have not enjoyed since smartphones were a novelty.

amazing growth ahead, YES there is exposure to Euro/Asia alone but what do US markets know about that area?.. not much anyhow, but everyone recognizing the growth potential, with or without recent drama
VEON is a holding co, having ALL its subsidiaries running in a decentralized model, as domestic companies.
as per recent PR's.. they are not Subject to any SANCTIONS .. just dealing with currency conversions impediment for the time being.
But that could change as well... we don't know.

the 100.oo ++ fact .. :) go read:
