Good call Kelly. no pun. I too have a small biz. Retail. A lot of physical work in my biz and it's a one man operation. I don't answer the phone more than I do answer it. I can't be running in to the phone just to hear a robot or a telemarketer. I have blocked hundreds of numbers and the calls just keep coming. My clients are repeat customers and know my habits. I always answer text messages, site inquiries, email and fb page messages.
