"my gut" tells me this is all razzle-dazzle with shell corporations and there's no real business going on.

HDUP has gone through this 'acquisition' dance a few times. I believe the purpose is to entice whales to loan money to HDUP, which eventually is distributed to insiders.

The bid can stay strong because there's no dilutive selling pressure. So people who believe the press releases will keep holding and even buying more shares.

I'd expect that some shareholders regularly get calls from insiders who reassure them that the big things are still coming, encouraging them to hold on.

What I find strange is despite the delay there still are size bids out there

That’s what’s confusing……..It's easy to be a seller because the progress is slow but wby be a buyer ??
