The great myth that the OTC “cannot be shorted” went away when people realized a simple Google search will give 100’s of hits on how it’s done.
Sure, it’s probably too expensive a process for a single retail investor, but there are a number of syndicates and groups that make millions off shorting OTC stocks.
So yes, it can be done.
It is being done.
Too much money involved for it to be any other way.
