Once again the truth is probably somewhere in the middle, it may be beneficial for some of the problems caused by radiation, but not so much others. Perhaps using it in addition to other therapeutics will give people who've been exposed to too much radiation the benefits they'll need for long term survival.

In many diseases it's being found that it takes a combination of things to really work. That doesn't make the components a failure as they don't do it alone, they're actually part of what's needed for success.
