Marvell in AEC market: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/marvell-expands-interconnect-portfolio-industrys-140000500.html

"Marvell's Alaska A DSPs paired with Luxshare's Optamax™ bulk cable technology allows us to further extend the length, provide thinner cables, and bring higher performance solutions to our data infrastructure customers, solving their bandwidth and thermal challenges. Working with Marvell, we are able to quickly develop a new class of AEC product offerings that will address a variety of deployment use cases."

Luxshare is also partnering with Spectra7: http://spectra7.com/luxshare-800g

Marvell is also a member of the Hiwire Consortium (https://hiwire.org) that basically is a promo tool for the Credo AEC cables. I wonder if Marvell becomes a direct competitor of Credo or if there would be a cooperation in this.

Back in 2019 Spectra7 also tried to set up a consortium for their Cable: CRX Consortium (https://www.crxconsortium.org/) this is (or was?) in cooperation with Tencent.
Back then they also mentioned Foxconn and Luxshare as companies that joined: http://spectra7.com/crx

LUXSHARE-ICT AND FOXCONN INTERCONNECT JOIN CRX CONSORTIUM

“Spectra7 is integral in helping to drive the future of the data center interconnects industry, and we are proud to be collaborating with them and Tencent in the formation of the CRX Consortium,” said Jinhua Chen, Data Center GM at Luxshare-ICT.

“Our data center partners are continuously making requests for longer reach, lower power, and lower cost cable solutions that cannot be achieved with existing passive or optical technology, said Steve Shultis, General Manager at Foxconn Interconnect Technology’s CMIT business unit. “We are thrilled to be partnering with Tencent and Spectra7 in formation of the CRX Consortium.”

Unfortunately there are no updates on the CRX website since 2019 and also Foxconn and Luxshare are not mentioned on this page.

I really wonder what happened here. With all the news from Credo and now Marvell I would like to see some serious good updates from Spectra7 on their progess.
