My thoughts are, wddd just didn't want to deal with it. They are probably overly confident they will win at CAFC. Maybe Texas goes the way you say, and they ignore the MA 101 ruling disniss the case, but maybe they don't. Why risk it if they think CAFC is a slam dunk, which they do. Easier and much cleaner to ask for a stay if MSFT agreed, in which h they did. It also allows wddd to focus just on CAFC, no need to split attention or resources between TX and CAFC. You know MSFT will also be bringing up 101, just part of the playbook, avoid that whole argument in Texas if CAFC decides that issue for them.
I'm still shocked Casper did what she did knowing PTAB had already ruled on the 101 issue. Go do some research on Casper, her net worth drastically increased in 2020-2021 by what I read.
