They have high to low, low to high, low high low, and flat. Each can mean different words. I’m not sure how they convey intention the way we use inflection, for instance if we say “yes” low to high then it is a guess, while high to low would be like an authoritative confirmation, and a low high low would mean that was an interesting question, while a flat yes has no additional meaning unless a more pitched response is warranted in which case it conveys some sort of dissatisfaction or lack of interest.
