RMBS Rambus: Summary of conference call to discuss FTC remedy (21.85 +2.93) -Update-

Rambus says royalty rate caps are only on a go-forward basis. Says it's disappointed Commission has adopted rates below what co said was fair. Also says it believes the Commission got it 'fundamentally wrong'. But says decision does not limit co's license or patents for DDR2 or DDR3... Co says stay could be granted from Commission, which would stop enforcement of the order, and they will ask for it in addition to their appeal. If denied there, co can go to U.S. Appellate Court. Says it has additional research to do before it can comment on how the order will affect business. Adds additional updates will come in the future... Co made it clear that there is no fine associated with the order. (See 9:45 and 9:06 comments
