Yeah, I'm a Texas drifter too...in Peru missing Tex-Mex at Mercado Juarez in Fort Worth (Enchilada Suiza / Jack Cheese & Onion combo plate with Charro beans in place of the other beans, you should try this Night Stalker, they are not too far from you) and BBQ all over The Great Nation of Texas!

Finally found Flamin Hot Crunchy Cheetos for the first time in Peru, most Cheetos here are the puffed variety and true to Peru, not much of Flamin Hot flavor added. That's the way it is here. Pepsi Co comes here with Cheetos and Doritos and they know Peruvians are use to being screwed with the flavor so they cheapen it so it's not like the U.S. They get screwed by Pepsi and always by their government.

If anyone visits Peru take the advise of one of my best friends who is a Peruvian who told me, "Don't ever trust a Peruvian; they will steal the most unimaginable things in the most unimaginable ways!" I'm not going to lie to you and tell you Peru is a beautiful country, it's not! Bolivia is worse but that is not saying much. The national bird here of Peru is the Mosquito!

They have a Pacific Coast Hwy here called the Panaramica Hwy. You can take a bus from Mancora, world class small surfing town, to Lima and there is trash on both sides of the Hwy the whole way except for the brief 50 foot intersections! Lol Highways thru Jungle area are a little better because the tundra covers the trash. I remember taking a bus from one Jungle town to another, about a 2 hour bus ride and seeing a Peruvian lady wearing an "Me Amo Peru" (I love Peru) shirt, smiling she gets up from her seat and reach over a passenger who had a window seat so she could thrown her trash out rather than wait 15 more minutes to arrive to our destination and put it in the trash and I'm like, "no, you don't love Peru, you hate Peru and take a shit all over Peru everyday!"

I lived in Medellin, Colombia for a year and have been all over Colombia, very clean but can be dangerous if you go to the wrong parts. Several wars have been going on in Colombia for many years. Ecuador is clean too outside of the bigger cities but places like Guayaquil where I lived for 9 months can be dangerous and disgusting! Dirtiest city I've ever been to.
