I found that stuff about Ford's IPO when I was researching whether Buffett (of course) ever bought an IPO. Several old sources say that he's only bought one... the 1956 Ford offering. That was several years before young Buffett controlled Berkshire Hathaway.

BTW, BRK HAS bought into a couple of foreign IPOs lately. Generally, WB and Munger recommend avoiding buying into IPOs.

The subject interests me because so many recent IPOs are struggling.
