I agree fully on the injustice of schedule 1 for weed but the DEA is a political arm of government turned sour . lets not dismiss the fact that they APPROVED oxycontin . these are Doctors making decisions on dangerous drugs . administrator retires after 30 years with DEA then does contracting work for PURDUE PHARMA manufacture of Oxycontin........conflict of interest ? corruption ? oxycontin was a disaster before it was ever approved by the DEA.
''marinol'' is synthetic thc also approved by DEA , in use for decades now for ''legitimate medical purpose''[ nausea and appetite stimulant for cancer patients] weed should have been dropped to lower schedule when this drug was approved decades ago . Call me jaded with trust issues .
