May I call your attention to post #2622:

I'm guessing we might see some interesting movement in the near future: High volume that drops the pps to at or near its 52 week low, followed soon thereafter (a couple of days?) by high volume that moves the pps up impressively.

I still have my beliefs in a big shorter somewhere.

UNFORTUNATELY, as I have recently (just last Monday) moved bids from AXIM onto another (somewhat related) play, I am NOT doing this from that same post:

So I am going to try quite large bids at or close to the 52 week low, and if those get filled, then the same shares immediately go on the Ask at substantially higher, with the goal of about 50% in just a few days.

Unlike the "words of wisdom" you may have heard in an earlier post today, stop loss orders on a stock like this: relatively low average volume, low pps for a long time, very little interest in purchasing by investors who have more shares than they originally desired - all adds up to an easily manipulated stock.

A large, fast dump at market on an off day like today, and towards the end of the day, could easily shake out all of those stop losses in a matter of minutes. Then the same player scoops up all of those stop loss shares in a few low placed bids. With volume 4x normal, such a player could easily snag a $20,000 winfall on a mere 3 cent change in pps.

Now , I don't feel the need to say, "I warned you", because truth be told, the above already did that.

The good thing is that anyone who did not get caught up in losing shares today should see the stock regain all of its lost ground in just a few days.

BETTER than stop loss orders (on a stock like this one) are to follow investing 101: NEVER invest more than you can afford to lose. If you do this, you won't need to place stop loss orders.
