Old Whirlpool with a new Bosch <<<< just try finding one !!

My cousin's son works for Bosch here in New Bern, NC.

Last we talked Bosch had a 6 month back order on appliances and that was in October.

My cousin just built a new house and his son managed to get him all Bosch appliances. They were all factory seconds.

You got lucky.

I wanted my barn vinyl sided since I got tired of painting the damn thing. I called Lowes and HD and they never even called me back.

I called my gutter man who I remembered did vinyl siding. Came out the next day gave me an estimate and he was done in 1 week. I tipped both buys $40.

At the same time in November I wanted my HVAC system replaced since it was over 25 years old. I called my HVAC repair guy and the same excuse. I'm too busy. I talked to my buddy from Trane and he told me to call a guy who used to coach baseball with us since he was in the business.

Same deal, came out gave me an estimate and he was done in 2 days.

Tipped both his helpers $40 each as well. He gave me his cash price as well which was within a couple of hundred of Lowes but they couldn't do the job for a month.

Last week I had a tree cut down. Guy came by and asked me if I had any trees he could cut down. I pointed to one I wanted gone and he said $400 and I said fine but I want it gone today and my son will give you a hand. He asked me why and I said he needs to learn.

Hard work never hurt anyone. Finding someone who will do the work though is a different story.

I did call my old HVAC guy back and told him he lost my business. I've moved on.
