But if I wanted to understand Shib, then I would want to know a few differences between it and Doge. Shib devs launched in August 2020. Doge launched in December 2013. Doge is POW and and expects to make the transition to POS within 2 years. POW is slow and environmentally unfriendly. Shib, as an ERC-20 token is presently POW but will be transitioning to POS mechanism once the ethereum 2.0 upgrade is complete.
Doge is built on an inflationary model, meaning millions are mined each day adding up to billions being put into circulation every year. With no stable coin, the best bet doge has is doge itself. Shib is built around a deflationary model, meaning there are no new tokens ever being put into circulation, with worldwide endeavors to burning down its total amount. Ecosytem will also be releasing Shi, it's very own stable coin for global, daily use. Shib has its very own DEX, where you can 'trade' or essentially buy other cryptos. Doge has ??? Shibaswap allows you to trade etheruem for other memes/alts. Doge has a wallet.
Doge is just a copycat with a new name..First there was junkcoin, then a fork to luckycoin, then a fork that became doge. A 'fork' is just a change in protocol as blockchain is just simple coding. Shib has no forks.
The power of Smart Contracts. Bitcoin, doge are just blockchain currencies. That's all they are. Neither one can host dapps. Etheruem was the first and now the most popular blockchain platform to write smart contracts. Since then, lightning network has proven to be a valuable l2 solution for bitcoin but etheruem still leads the pack and we will be releasing Shibarium, a Layer 2 solution on the eth platform. Basically, a side chain on the eth main net, our own block that can host dapps. Doge has nothing on this, even as it's own block. Ren project What? Get outta here. What this means is if a startup using blockchain wants to roll out on the eth platform, Shibarium could be a faster, cheaper and just as safe option. You ever hear of Polygon? Shibarium has a red dot on it and ShibaSwap already has a higher safety score per CERTIK. Shib will be releasing Oshiverse on Shibarium. This means it has the potential for becoming the 'go to' for all decentralized games and nft, play to earns. Shib will also be debuting Incubator and nft marketplace. In short, anything that doge does from here on out is just copying the lead set by Shib devs. Doge was created as a 'spoof' of bitcoin. Articles will call Shib a spoof on doge but that's simply not the case. Shib is far ahead of doge and the platform it runs on is far ahead of anything else. All doge has is advertising and some celeb endorsements. No disrespect to any doge holders on this board but all the coin is made up of is millennials trying to get rich quick. IM A MILLENNIAL. LOL. Musk is truly out of his league on this one and in my simple analysis he's crazy for endorsing doge in the first place. The run doge had up to .70+ was based on Musk misleading an entire generation with tweets and it has become a day traders heaven. Hold on to your tokens because 2022 is the year of SHIB.
