Yes and no.
Is the presumption that Berman acted entirely alone? Was he the 'brains' of the outfit or a patsy being played by other more sinsiter forces? That remains to be seen.
Where is the cash?
Millions were made and lost.
Not all of it was <ahem> expended in the 'self adminsitered therapeutic massages' in which Berman seems to have invested.

Once Berman is behind bars, civil proceedings against other actors might well shed some light on things and could even uncover a money trail? Maybe not. But Maybe so.

There are easy and hard ways of doing time and Berman may very well feel disposed to throw some others under the bus at some point, to improve the 'star rating' on the federal accommodation that he is offered.
