I have (more than) said my peace on the issue of a nationalization ruling resulting from any of the FnF cases. I remain unconvinced that one is even possible, but we will see what happens.

There is enough common nonsense around to shoot down that going after someone unaffected by it is not really worthwhile anyway.

A friendly but robust discussion of active case and legal issues might even uncover something that Ps ‘bus-stop bench lawyers’ have missed.

The various plaintiffs have missed a metric (expletive)-ton of things, but since I'm not funding any of the lawsuits I don't really have any input.

For a while my pet cause was that HERA requires the FHFA director to issue a capital classification for FnF every quarter and makes no mention of cship, but FHFA suspended capital requirements in 2008 and (incorrectly) cited part of HERA as their justification. I think that would have been a decent angle to explore, but in the end I followed the advice in my own signature line.
