Please take Gary's advice and make the effort to contact your Senators--especially if they serve on Senate Banking--and demand that they question Thompson as per Hinde's (and others' suggestions) suggestions.

She will have a brief hearing because the Committee also has Lael Brainerd's up for confirmation and "media" is made challenging the FED, not Thompson.

If nothing more, ask them to submit the questions to Ms. Thompson/FHFA in writing, asking for specific responses.
