AND....about to enter the space (VERY likely) is a pesky lil company named APPLE and also BOSE and even Google may take a swing at it -

APPLE and BOSE are synonymous with "THE BEST ALGOS ON EARTH regarding the analog-to-digital signal processing of sound and light via ultra micro processing at nano level packaging w/ APPLE even making their own silicon now which is almost unheard of, world class ergonomics unmatched on planet earth" and on and on and on....etc.

Example: The iphone "camera" is soooo freaking damn good not just because of the unmatched talent APPLE created in micro optics - but the real "secret sauce" is they image process every photo instantly right in the "phone" at levels unimaginable only a few short years ago - their software algo processing is past mind boggling at this point. They can do the same with sound - they can hire DOLBY or anyone else they feel they "need" to perfect sound and "hearing" to a level never before imagined - and it's chump change to them !

Aka the "iPhone of hearing aids" would bury the space for good - and take "hearing correctly " to a level of perfection never imagined and do it via integrating it with their phones, etc.

AND - Apple can BUY OUT 2 or 3 of the top companies above for what they keep laying around as STONE COLD CASH in their annual company picnic fund or petty cash drawer :)
