No Joe, IB is not a Canadian broker, they're U.S. based in Greenwich CT.
But with an IB account, a Customer can buy Canadian stocks directly on the TSX and TSX-V and not by the U.S. "pseudo symbol".

And real Canadian brokers such as Questrade are loathe to open Accounts for U.S. citizens who actually live in the U.S. because of FATCA, and as much as that peeves me, I don't blame them one bit!
