The design work for Acadia Energy’s Paddy Hill
hydroponics facility in Brownville is 40 percent
complete. A 2018 Priority Project that received a
$415,000 ESD grant, the company plans to create
an indoor vertical farm by reusing waste heat and
carbon dioxide from a nearby energy complex to
grow hydroponic, organic produce. The company is
targeting operation by late Spring 2020.
