From electrifying transportation to piloting artificial intelligence retail stores – we’ve had two exciting announcements in the US recently – and we certainly have no plans to slow down.

First up, I’m thrilled to say we’ve acquired AMPLY Power, Inc. -
an electric charging provider for fleets of all sizes – from school buses to electric vans. And they’re passionate about making life easier for their customers – so these businesses can concentrate on providing better services – not worrying about their battery life.

We share that passion and have big plans to work together to accelerate the adoption of EVs in the US – building on the progress we have made in the UK, Germany and China.

And in our convenience business, we’ve started to reimagine the retail experience for our US customers.

We’re teaming up with Grabango – a leading provider for checkout-free tech – to offer automated checkout services in 10 of our ampm and Amoco service stations.

From mid-2022, you’ll be able to walk straight in and out with your goods – no queues, no tills, no hassle.

We’re all very excited about these updates.

But the bit that I really love is that these projects will drive
digital innovation across our convenience and electrification
businesses - I can’t wait to test this tech out next time I’m in the US.
