I recently complained about the new, smaller reply box. Obviously the designers wouldn't agree with me, but on reply pages, the box is the MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENT. The most important element is not some abstract design principle, the designer's personal preference (I say that with particular reference to the red "new messages" box, which is so tiny I literally can't decipher the two-digit number currently in it), or other things I can't even guess at.
And after they tried out the first version, did they make the box EVEN SMALLER?? Looks that way to me. I could be wrong; there's no way to check.
And why, when one replies to a PM, is one then taken to the homepage??? Wherever one may wish to go at that point, it is NOT the homepage.
Since I needed to make a change to my post, I hit "edit". That still gives me the OLD text box for replies. So you can see how big the difference is.
