I believe the point is immaterial. Any short position that was established at any point would have been covered by now.

Instead of seeing a run like GME and AMC, which are operating listed companies and NOT dead and defunct OTC issues, we're seeing shares dumped out of accounts at the sixth digit.

You can lead a horse to water. But you can't make him get down on one knee and do an Al Jolson impression!
