I have managed to leverage my holdings up to a bit over $18,600 but it's currently sitting at a lousy market value of just over $3,770. So, no way am I selling anything for a loss that severe. STAY FIDO, STAY! Since the RS probably won't yield fat share price rises to break even on, I'm thinking maybe just hang in, and aquire more shares and keep packing them in at rock bottom NASDAQ prices. Not all bad I suppose. I know I'm not gonna reap ANY profits that way in the near future....but, if the NASA project pans out and all goes to plan, in WHAT way would I regret sitting on potentially several million shares in the long run if we get into the space race? At that point, I would only need a share to be worth 1 lousy dollar to still be a happy camper for life, RIGHT??
Granted ASTI is stinking BIG TIME for trading, but if I'm looking to camp here for a long, slow, 5 to 10 year "back burner project" anyway and just ride the ride, I don't feel I've taken a LOSS unless I actually cut & run. That may be naive, but I always bet "green zeros" on long shots anyway when at the table. Their odds are no less on than any other number...but they pay better, when they pay.
