Agreed. Just wanted their parents, most likely, to get paid by the Japanese government for industrial policy funding. It all now lies in a giant warehouse of patents in a large, dead company with lots of patents they will never use, not entrepreneurial, not bold, not risk taking, rich with no need to push any boundaries, just a big money making machine that eats good ideas, and sometimes it makes some of what it owns into a product. Run from the top down.
