I don't see why the ART wouldn't work n XR, you can spray Naltrexone on any bead, be it 2 bead or 3 bead

Hey sharkey you can spray a candy coating on a turd but that doesn't make it an m&m, even if there is a peanut in the middle. Likewise, you can spray naltrexone on Adderall but it doesn't make it an ADF.

Naltrexone does not directly block Adderall from binding to any receptors, so it cannot be used as an antagonist ADF. It can seem complicated because there is a lot of crossover. At abuse-level high doses, Adderall does start to stimulate opioid receptors, and naltrexone would block that part of any euphoria effect. Also, naltrexone binding to an opioid receptor causes a downstream decrease in dopamine neurotransmitter release, which could diminish the euphoric effect of Adderall abuse. Overall, naltrexone would have a mild inhibitory effect on Adderall abuse and would be unlikely to have a significant effect on drug liking scores in human abuse studies. I am aware of some euphoria blocking effect in studies of high-dose oral Ritalin co-administered with oral naltrexone, but I am not aware of any human abuse liability studies that show naltrexone is an effective way to prevent any mode of abuse of any prescription stimulant.

Even if the company did $20 million in abuse liability studies and proved the theory that naltrexone beads could decrease drug liking scores of snorted and injected Adderall, it still has a fatal flaw. A person could be properly taking legally-prescribed opioids while at the same time attempting to abuse stimulants by crushing and snorting Adderall. The naltrexone in the ADF Adderall would induce an immediate and potentially dangerous opioid withdrawal, and that will never fly with the FDA. It would get exactly zero favorable votes at an FDA Advisory Committee meeting. Just like IPCI's blue dye, the humiliating failure will be complete & irrevocable.

Again, our patented 2 bead antagonist ADF cannot be used for Adderall because Adderall does not have any direct antagonists. It's just that simple.
