Look don’t get me wrong, I believe the metaverse and VR is the future, but these property purchases need to be understood within the context of the currency being used to acquire them. If you purchased 10,000,000 mana at .10 cents that costed you in USD $1 million, now you use 850,000 of these tokens to buy “land” and the price is now $4 per token, then the value of the transaction is in fact $2.6 million usd but it didn’t cost you that, It only costed you $85,000. So the point is, these land values are totally skewed by the increase in value of the tokens. In other words, nobody came in and plopped down $2.6 million USD, they plopped down whatever the cost of their tokens were and believe me some people or groups own zillions of these tokens that they paid very little for.
