As you well know I am careful in believing anything per se (skeptic). I do not put it past a broker having access to those shares after paying fractional pennies to get them off the client's account unless I know otherwise. I don't.

Clients lose, the imbedded titans of Wall Street do not (in the sense of losing less than clients if it comes down to that). Brokers get 'something' in exchange for accepting wash shares to get them off the books of the client. They give NOTHING away free. Somehow the brokers make out on these transactions.... how is what I am asking.

I have taken the time, admit not much, to research on the internet. To no avail obviously. Not really concerned but it bites me to think a broker could profit from the cash back for these shares.
