hi Al, yeah until the 1970s, America Inc was a monopoly. an arrogant monopoly who could make shitty stuff cuz they had captive consumers.

along with an arrogant culture that thought you deserved $20/HR ($120/hr in today's dollars) for factory work by just having a high school diploma.

1973 was some wakeup call, wasn't it ?
