I hate to say it, but if some mushroom-based medicine get a foothold in the psychiatry and mental health industry, and millions of people are put on the prescription, then yes, sometimes the inferior product wins. Remember, this isn't just a product that is put on a store shelf and people buy it or don't. We are talking about prescription meds here. If one med gets a foothold, and name recognition amongst doctors and hospitals, then it's really hard for another med that treats the same thing to overtake it. It can happen, but it takes time ... years. I would prefer MindMed get 18-MC to market for addiction before any other alternative beats them. This is super important. Then they are a successful, revenue-producing company that can focus on the rest of their product lines.
