"Hmmm I thought MTRT is the fastest ?"

Maybe they are.

That article offers no evidence Solana is the fastest blockchain that exists in the world today.

One guy who wrote the article simply claims it is.

Who wrote this article anyway? Are they all-knowing? Could there be technology out there they don't yet know about? Like the 100k PLUS TPS Medium has claimed?

Is it the author's claim against Medium's claim?

How do we know which is correct?

Why would we be so quick to doubt Medium's trust this guy?

Why not doubt this guy and trust Medium?

Actually . . .

It may be that ALL these claims have some merit.

Seems MEDIUM'S most recent PR in essence says they set the official certified record at 14,142 TPS.

Solana is claiming 50k TPS and MEDIUM is claiming 100k+ TPS (just not certified). And the author of the article might know of only one of those claims!... and not the other.

All I'm trying to say is there is no need to assume deceit is involved in anybody's case.

Medium most recent MTRT PR:
https://www.otcmarkets.com/otcapi/company/dns/news/document/54353/content
Since 2020, Medium’s MDL (Medium Distributed Ledger) solution has been selected from various
blockchain projects in public and private sectors in South Korea. MDL is developed based on Medium’s
core technology called MxP (Medium eXPress engine) which is certified as 14,142 TPS in performance test
by KOTCA (Korea Testing Certification Agency) in January 2021. Currently, this is the fastest blockchain
processing speed recorded.

[Or you might say, even though Medium already claimed 100k TPS in 2019, it was in January 2021 that the fastest CERTIFIED record was set at 14,142 AT THAT TIME.]

2019 claim by Medium to "have achieved" and "exceeded" 100k TPS:
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/medium-launches-testnet-up-to-10-000-times-faster-than-bitcoin-300945427.html

"The TestNet at Medium has achieved 100,000 TPS based on the Hyperledger Caliper. Medium's high-speed blockchain starts from Blockchain Processing Unit (BPU)."

"A Medium official said, "The speed of the medium blockchain is currently exceeding 100,000 TPS and 300,000 TPS is expected. "

2020 Medium official video claiming 100k TPS:

along with the two videos from which it was taken:

What I'm trying to get at is this.

Prior to April 2020 when Medium officially posted the video
from which it was taken, our CEO said the following:

"MEDIUM'S ultimate goal is to become a company of the ten largest global companies in terms of market capitalization. To achieve this goal, MEDIUM will focus on improvement of R&D and technology from 100,000 TPS to 1,000,000 TPS."

[That's right, for a couple years now we've been moving FROM that "100k" TPS already achieved TOWARD 1,000,000 TPS, meaning we're likely somewhere in-between.]

So then . . .

Is it "Solana IS the fastest blockchain in the world" ?

Or is it more like "Solana is the fastest blockchain [THE AUTHOR KNOWS OF] in the world"??

And does it matter anyway, if Solana has compromised security to get to 50k TPS?

When we'll soon be at A MILLION TPS WITHOUT SACRIFICING ANYTHING (through hardware not software)?

Think about it.

If we "unofficially" (without certification) got to 100k TPS IN 2019 and have been working toward 1,000,000 TPS for TWO YEARS . . .

we have no idea where we're currently at! . . .

and every day a possible announcement gets that much closer.
