Additional market makers indicates the capacity to facilitate additional trades and, presumably, the thought by those market makers that they will earn money placing trades on that ticker. The number of market makers says nothing about the toxicity of particular trades. Some people try to infer who is placing trades based on perceived affiliations with specific market makers, but that is pure speculation and, again, has no connection to the total number of market makers.

In other words, more market makers is not necessarily bad. In fact, more market makers is necessary for future growth of this stock.
