This is a massive project that will happen in phases; we've never done "build a new site then switch to it all at once." That's not how we roll.

The current effort is converting to a new front-end; the hardware and software level that generates the HTML sent to your browser. It's part of an overall design overhaul that will lead to major changes in the site layout after it is completed. It's done by a team of new and different developers; the OGs are still on the back-end.

We do have someone on staff who is good at user interface "appearance" - most developers who develop functionality are not terribly good at that. Present company included. He works mostly on the mobile apps but has a hand in this too; he's converting Poststream which went live last Friday but we reverted that for some tweaks. We'll be able to get some of his attention turned to these formatting concerns pretty soon.
