That may or may not be true. The communication from IPIX merely states that drug has been shipped for the purposes of a "collaboration" with Government scientists.

To conclude that the US Government supports and is paying for this collaboration is doubtless what Leo Ehrlich would like everyone to believe, but I note he's careful not to actually say so unambiguously.

In fact he's careful to be entirely ambiguous.
