For the avoidance of doubt and to avoid the conflation of the two entirely different drugs that has (inadvertently no doubt) occurred, there is no suggestion that Pfizer’s drug ritonavir is mutagenic, whereas this is a concern with the Merck drug molnupravir.

Further the Pfizer drug appears to be even more effective than Merck’s.

The apparent elimination of death in mild to moderate patients with both drugs is also no small matter.
