Thoughts on this?

AI & Machine Learning can be a game changer to enhance the deployment of this technology to the next level. The challenge to reproducing 3D sound artificially is to reproduce the effect that all this geometry has on sound and therefore this complex problem going has be solved by machine learning algorithms. For example, imagine a video showing pair of musicians playing a drum and a guitar. If the drum is on the left side of the field of view and the guitar on the right, it’s straight forward to assume that the drum sounds should come from the left and the guitar from the right. That’s what this machine-learning system does, creating the sound accordingly. A database can be built with variety of examples of the effects it needs to learn. The machine learning algorithms can be continuously trained or evolved to recognize and reproduce where the sound is coming based on the video scene

Considering the huge benefits of object based audio, industry experts are not surprised to see these innovative formats soon be adopted by everyone in Movie, Broadcast and TV Industry.
