"So I propose this question, who makes a comparable memory module sufficient for Samsung and Google to maintain their market share? It is just that simple. Nobody I know of."
I don't think it's that simple. If what I read was correct, paraphrasing- NetList IP effectively doubles server capacity. If Google has to double their number of servers I don't see how that changes Googles place in the market place other than possibly increasing their cost of doing business by a very small percent. Whether the consumer is using the Google search engine or any of their myriad of products, I don't see how their customers will ever even notice Google had to double their servers. If the NetList IP had cut in half the server speed instead of doubling its capacity, that would have made a very noticable difference to consumers. On the other hand Samsung produces and sells storage devices and if their competition can double capacity using NLIP and they can't that could make an enormous difference on these sales. However, when you consider Samsung mobile phones, televisions etc... compared to their consumer storage devices it is my opinion this is a relatively small part of their business. If it went away tomorrow I think Samsung would still be the world leader in phone unit sales and one of if not the leader in television sales. Now unless they have started putting servers in cell phones and TVs(and nothing would surprise me) Samsung is going to maintain their market share in the majority of their business.
