This volcano was initially thought to be dormant, but this was recently proven to not be the case. Several recent papers have dated a number of young volcanic eruptions, one of which blocked the exist of glacial runoff, causing Garibaldi Lake to form. In total, 3 new recent eruptions were confirmed in the last ten thousand years. This video will discuss this volcano, the latest scientific development, and discuss the new hazard rating for this volcano.
