Not sure I agree with gaining the trust of veterinary clinics being difficult. Many (but not all) vets treat cats for hyperthyroidism with I-131. These vets understand the abilities of targeted, injections of isotopes and are very familiar with the procedure of handling radioactive isotopes. They would welcome the opportunity to treat more pets once they see Isopet’s effectiveness.
But you are 100% spot on about the shipping. The Nuc-Med pharmacy I worked for (recently retired) received and shipped isotopes on a daily basis around the NYC area and the East coast. In fact, the new Long Island clinic signed on for Isopet is one town over from our Plainview office. It will take time, but once the word gets around, Isopet is an easy win.
